:::\(**)/ tHe ExPeRiEnCe @ SaF dAy \(**)/:::

Its 1 Jul today and its SAF day. This day commemorates all soldiers who fought and protect the safety of Singapore. Before this important day, we had many preparations to look at, firstly the RFB meetings (where our unit is in charge), then all of us will have to sew on our arms badge, unit badge and our new name tags. As these sew on came at different times and we're expected to sew it at a short notice, we have to "each sew separately". 1 no. 4 uniform of mine cost about 6 bucks.

Few of us were tasked to do fatigue duty on this day, we were tasked to carry chairs and tables back to the SAFTI MI cookhouse. Their chairs and tables are known to be heavy and lotz. There are about 300 tables and 100 over chairs altogether. We assembled in the unit HQ at zbout 3pm and we actually start work at abt 8.45pm, so the rest of the time we were idling in the Coy Terrain room. Though was boring, but i managed to have some fruitful experience as i get to talk to more of my colleagues. We also do have the try to try out dishes at their dinner function, we ate some delicious food, the fondure, in particular. We get to move the chairs and tables, it was really really heavy, but we managed to complete it within 2 hours. Thank God for that!

In this SAF day event, I've learnt several things:
Firstly, I've learnt the spirit of brotherhood. We were very shagged and tired when carrying those stuff yet we can start to encourage and motivate each other to go on. Its very touching to see tt as I always think that my unit is very self-centred. Today's experience allowed me to see a brighter side of ITI.

Secondly, I've got to learnt much more from my new colleague, Mark. As I was chatting with him and saw the way he handles things, it wasn't that the ay I thought of him. I've got to know him better.

Thirdly, got to know Clarence better. Didn't know he's a strong guy. He can carry many stuff at one time. Haha! me loser. He will feel lousy when his underwear becomes wet. wahaha!

Alvin mentioned some phrase that I used to hear it from one of the CyberWarriors. We're always in an environment of "rush to wait, wait to rush"! It does makes sense to me. Does it makes sense to you too?

Go nite!
God Bless!
