:::: Shopping Day ::::

Took a special day off today as I told myself to be really relax for this saturday after busy weeks. Had an opportunity to attend the Conference in RELC Internation Hotel and learn several things from the presenters who presented their thesis. I believe I am the only undergraduate zhongwenxi student present from that event after hearing from Prof Guo and Prof Yow, so I'm lone ranger that day. Neverthless, I was accompanied by my 'companion' whom I love - My Lord.

After the conference I've decided to go to Orchard Road for some shopaxperience (meaning shopping lah). Took the bus from the hotel which ended me at Orchard Road Far East Plaza. So decided to stop for lunch, still deciding on what to eat, I remembered vividly that there is a restaurant nearby that sells the turkish food. Been there 2 years ago with my BPGC band team for fellowship, and we ate the cone ice-cream that is hard-to-get. To get the cone ice-cream, the ice-cream man (sorry, cannot find a vocab to describe his job) would do some tricks to us and would invite us for fun. And everytime he passes the ice-cream to us, we would get an empty cone.

So, this was my second visit to this turkish restaurant. Got some snapshots of the restaurant and the food I ordered. I've ordered a set meal that consists of a butter rice, grilled chicken, lentil soup, bread and a choice of tea or softdrink (i chose the turkish rosehip fruit tea). This set meal was not as expensive as I thought and its not cheap either. It costs me 12 bucks. The food taste very different from the chinese food. The taste were not as strong seasoned as the chinese food, I like their sour-sweet taste and some spice flavour. Moreover their bread was very nice if it goes alone or with the lentil soup. Haven't really tried middle-eastern food, so I could hardly comment about the authencity origin of this food, but I should say I enjoy the taste of the food. My choice of tea of rosehip tea was great as well, it has an aroma of rose with a soury taste - unique and special, I felt very refreshed after drinking that cup of tea. Sour was my jinx to say, my tears would roll if i took sour food, however, this meal's sour level was adequate and i quite like the food. Another additional plus point would be the ambience was good and is a good place for gatherings. 4 star out of 5 for you - Anatolia.
