Went for a meeting quite reluctantly today as Daune was very tired due to many hectic days of 'unrest'. Moreover, Daune had missed fellowshipping with his peers for the consecutive two Tuesdays :-(. However, today's meeting was something that unexpectedly differently. It was not the meeting, but the unexpected visit to the Chinese Heritage Centre that shook Daune once again. It was Chun Hsien's idea to visit the CHC for some sort of recce for our event. Daune as a slow walker due to his injuries, walk slowly, enjoying the scenery and began to appreciate the CHC building. As it was awesomely decorated, with the street lights, accompanying with the stars and moon, the breeze, and the beautiful waterfountain. When Daune finally had a chance to sit down at the fountain side, he began to praise his God, for the creation of this world, for creating man to be able to see, able to enjoy the blending skyscrape. Daune thought of this song, which he loved and would sing in awe, at all time which wrote like this in its first stanza:
O Lord my God! when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul! my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Really love being able to sit down and enjoy the scenery of NTU which Daune hadn't been doing so for quite some time. Throughout this time of quietness, Daune began to appreciate what the Lord taught him. To slow down and watch out the behaviour of all beings, these are the things he taught us to love. At that time, Daune truly appreciate the co-workers who was there at the meeting with Daune! Daune was once again reminded this. They're lovely, lovable and God-made. Love you guys! ;-)
Truly enjoy this night session at CHC. I hope there'll be more of such opportunity!
Then sings my soul... My saviour Lord to thee! (awesome, that's what i'll do in heaven when i pass on).
