The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown was showcast in Singapore this Thursday. This book was widely criticised by Catholics, Christians and even Muslim. Though many may have said that this book is fictatious so there's no need to worry about, but the author wrote down in his book that it is according to the historical truth of church which will therefore challenged the bible - (be it the Catholic bible, or the gospel bible and even to the Qu'raan). I personally don't like the book, I even opposed the book.
There were many boycotts to this movie, reason is: the book itself had affected many people in the West. There were many advises from senior leaders reminding not to watch this movie. To me, I will watch the movie, its because I've been reading many commentary and had not read the book actually, I shall not comment too much till I watch the movie to get my full understanding. But I still support the church leaders stand to the congregation (especially young Christian - be it spiritually or physically) not to watch this movie, I think the government is doing the right thing by limiting it to NC16. Please wait till you're matured (spiritually) before you watch this movie.
For those non-Christian who needs to know whether its the truth or not, kindly approach any Christian and they'll give you a well-explanation of how should the Da Christian Salvation (DCS not DVC). ;-)
